Throwback Thursday! East Elizabeth Monument Sign – 1980s
Today’s “Throwback Thursday” sign is the 1224 East Elizabeth monument sign. We designed and constructed it in the late 1980’s. It’s a complex, two-sided sign. The dimensional sign features hand-carved, gold-leafed letters, routed art elements, and sandblasted, redwood logo panels.
We stained the cedar siding background panel. Custom-cut, white wood trim finishes the design. Finally, we routed, hand-carved and gold-leafed the mahogany address panel. Two existing, moss rock stone piers contain the sign. In like manner, the moss rock corresponds with the stone used on the office building.
