River Stone Resort

River Stone Resort sits on a particularly beautiful section of Fall River near Rocky Mountain National Park. Both the river and highway descend from the Park, passing the Visitor Center’s north entrance. Fittingly, this entrance is known as the “less traveled” entrance to the Park. In addition, River Stone Resort is centered just 2 miles from the Park’s entrance, and 2 miles from Estes Park. During the summer season (late June to early September), free shuttle buses run to and from downtown.

River Stone Resort is a year-round resort for both private and business groups.The resort offers fully-equipped condos, including kitchens and baths. Also, gas grills and washers/dryers are included. In addition, each living room has an HDTV with cable box and a DVD player. The bedrooms have TVs with cable connections. Finally, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property. Added bonus! A Business Center is available during office hours, stocked with a computer, printer and FAX.

How we made the River Stone Resort Sign

In 2009, Paxton Signs designed River Stone Resort’s dimensional, handcrafted sign to represent Colorado’s sunlight and pristine river that flows by its banks. The hand-carved gold leaf letters reflect the morning light in a way that captures the ever-changing glints of Rocky Mountain sunshine. Minimalist water and rock art depict the river bank without detracting from the sign’s centerpiece gold leaf lettering.The sign is single-faced and measures 4′ x 9′. The sign panel is fabricated in MDO plywood, using premium quality acrylic latex paints. “River Stone” is hand-cut, shaped, and carved to evoke a rustic look. Finally, the letters are 23k gold leafed and flush-mounted to the background. We built the sign in 2009 and it is still in use.
