How we made the Creature Comforts Sign

We designed the Creature Comfort’s sign to be as eye-catching as possible. Importantly, this draws attention to its setback location on a Loveland area county road. We made the two-sided, gold leafed sign to measure 7′ x 6′, including the lattice base. Next, we hand-carved the letters. Then, we individually gold leafed each one.  In addition, Creature Comfort’s stylized Scottie dog mascot appears at the top of the sign. Next, the sign’s wood grain texture is the result of sandblasting the background panel into high-density urethane. Finally, three coats of exterior latex paint guarantee the Creature Comforts sign will withstand Colorado’s four seasons for many years.
