wine glass ranch signIn 1888, when Sherman McCoy filed for homestead rights in Nebraska, the state was still part of America’s frontier. With a promising future ahead, he left Iowa by train, then walked the last 30 miles from the western-most stop at Elsie, Nebraska, to his new home. It would be home to the McCoy family for generations to come.

At the time, it was called the Lone Star Ranch – family-run and the predecessor of the current Wine Glass Ranch, Inc. It is still a family operation, and still dedicated to providing its clients with professional and profitable ranch and natural resource management services.

Through the decades, and through good stewardship and thrifty living, the original operation grew to almost 8,000 acres. The current operation offers a long list of farm and ranch services. For landowners, Wine Glass Ranch offers farm, ranch and natural resource management. For cattle owners and investors, Wine Glass Ranch offers a vast array of cattle management services. Additionally, they offer select cattle breeding opportunities. For more information, visit their web site at: www.wineglassranchinc.com

How We Designed and Built the Wine Glass Ranch Sign

wine glass ranch monument signWe created the Wine Glass sign using their logo design as the focus. The art elements are arranged to emphasize the ranch’s wine glass cattle brand and the graceful lines representing the area’s gentle rolling hills. In addition, we anchored their name prominently, just below the stylized hill elements and logo. The bold, red bar underscoring the name draws interest to the sign from the road.

The sign is custom-cut, sandblasted, and painted on high-density urethane. The wine glass itself is gold-leafed, adding interest and appeal. As always, the triple-coat paint finish insures the sign will have a long life in Nebraska’s sometimes harsh weather conditions. Wine Glass Ranch installed the sign.
