Sullivan’s Sports Tavern – 1995

The Sullivan’s Sports Tavern was one of the first sports bars in Fort Collins. Although no longer serving food and drink, it was located in the adjacent Campus West business district, just west of the Colorado State University campus.

We designed and built the Sullivan’s Sports Tavern sign in the mid-1990s. The complex, dimensional sign combined hand-carved letters and gold leaf banner elements. First, we formed the sign by layering MDO sign board and high-density urethane. Then, we sealed all of the surfaces with an oil enamel paint finish. In addition, the tavern used the sign design as their logo for their advertising and marketing purposes.
